POTASH RETAINS LEAD AFTER ROUND 1
Beanie 28, Hanson and Humbard in 2nd
Psaros Strengthens Hold on Last Place

Big Dance veteran Brian Potash leads all Dancers after Round 1, riding a field-best 45 upset points to the top notwithstanding an 18-14 opening round performance. Potash’s performance is all the more remarkable in light of the fact that only two Dancers (William Bigwood and Mike Harding) delivered worse first round W/L records. Beanie 28 was at 28-4 through Friday and posted the leading Biggest Dance winning percentage, bringing the most juice into the weekend’s games.

A number of Dancers delivered in a fashion worth noting, none more impressively than Mike “Bobo” Psaros, who was one of only two geniuses to select no upset winners and finds himself alone at the back of the bus. No worries, Mike, there is still lots of basketball left to play, with lots of points to be earned, particularly if your ultimate pick is crowned the national champ. And after all, you’ve got your money on the Hoyas…oops. Also of note, long time Dancer Steve Forrest is firmly in 5th followed by another Tourney vet with the award-winning name, Tenzing Dhamcho who is in 8th. Tenzing is tied with several others including Michelle and David of the Smooth family, who have embarrassed other Smooths to lead the Smooth Family battle.

Special kudos to 20+ year Dance veteran Lane Bonner, who holds down 24th with three others, including another Smooth, the deeply-experienced Mike Sullivan and rookie BenTD. And who is planted in 28th – it’s none other than original Dancer Bob Mendelsohn, tied with 6 others but certain to commence his inexorable slide toward mediocrity as soon as Saturday’s games commence. No Big Dance would be complete without throwing a bone to Jack Nusbaum, who somehow stumbled into a tie for 64th.

In other news, a massive sandstorm has turned Beijing’s streets yellow, Rooey had successful corrective surgery, Rob Fusari is suing Lady Gaga for $30 million and his lawyer claimed she is not a Roman Catholic nun, Wrapsol Ultra Film protects phones when they're dragged behind a car at 35 mph (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63_UvQBMKG4), Tak and Ken did FLA and, sadly, the Commish is getting Crushed in 186th.

All for now! Enjoy the games!
